LTTT presents research results at the European Geothermal PhD-Days

Bayreuth, 06th April 2023

From April 4th to 6th, 2023, more than 40 PhD scientists working in the field of geothermal energy participated in the European Geothermal PhD Days hosted in Glasgow. The meeting provided a platform for interdisciplinary exchange and linked participants with other experts. Our PhD scientist, Hannah Uhrmann, presented her research on life cycle assessment of geothermal heating plants in the South German Molasse Basin with a poster presentation and received valuable feedback from other scientists.

The conference also offered a varied program with presentations by geothermal experts, a field trip to a geothermal research institution and a workshop on communication in science. In particular, the field trip to the UK Geoenergy Observatory Glasgow was a highlight, giving participants insights into the latest research and the opportunity to connect and share the ongoing research with other geothermal energy students.
