The Chair of Engineering Thermodynamics and Transport Processes (LTTT) at the University of Bayreuth has recently welcomed two visitors from Australia as part of its ongoing cooperation with Swinburne University of Technology.
Dr. Steven Percy, Senior Research Fellow at the Victorian Hydrogen Hub (VH2), and Ms. Manashaa Madhavan, PhD student at Swinburne University, visited the Chair to participate in the HyBaCoM workshop on the integration of hydrogen technologies into regional energy systems.
During the three-day HyBaCoM workshop, Dr. Percy gave an interesting presentation on “Unlocking Zero-Emission Freight: Hydrogen Production, Infrastructure and Digital Energy Solutions” and Ms. Madhavan presented her framework for the joint PhD project, which focuses on hydrogen-based energy systems.
Her participation not only enriched the workshop, but also intensified the cooperation between the University of Bayreuth and Swinburne University of Technology by promoting joint research objectives in the field of hydrogen technologies.
A highlight of their visit was a site tour of the PEM electrolysis plant in Wunsiedel, where they gained a first-hand insight into the operation of state-of-the-art hydrogen technology.
