From May 15 to 23, Matthias Welzl and Petros Polykarpoulos represented the University of Bayreuth at the HYER project consortium workshop in Canada and were part of an extensive visitation programme in Canada.
This included the National Research Council's Advanced Materials facility in Mississauga, Hydrogen Optimized in Owen Sound and Hydro-Québec in Montreal.
The group was able to gain firsthand insight into ongoing research efforts in hydrogen and energy storage.
