LTTT contributions at the ECOS conference in Paris
Bayreuth, 04th July 2025
The 38th edition of ECOS took place at the École Mines Paris in the French capital in the week from June 30th to July 4th .Two LTTT employees were among the almost 500 participants at the internationally renowned conference, which covers a wide range of topics relating to energy systems.

Petros Polykarpoulos, M.Sc. presented a poster on the latest results of his research on coupling PEM electrolyzers and photovoltaic systems to produce green hydrogen. For the work presented, he investigated the influence of weather-related fluctuations in electricity generation on the operation of electrolysers with different outputs.

Clemens Berger, M.Sc. presented current results of his experimental work on heat transfer during the condensation of refrigerants and its influence on the modeling of thermodynamic cycle processes.
This contribution was part of the DFG Priority Program 2403: "Carnot Batteries: Inverse design from market to molecule", a project of which is established at the University of Bayreuth.
Research on Carnot batteries as future energy storage systems was one of the main topics at this year's ECOS with a total of five lecture blocks.
