Status seminar of the TAO Graduate College “Energy Self-Sufficient Buildings” at Thurnau Castle

As part of the TAO theme year 2025 “Energy Future Upper Franconia,” this year's status seminar of the Graduate College “Energy Self-Sufficient Buildings” took place in the inspiring surroundings of Thurnau Castle. The historic walls provided the ideal venue for interdisciplinary exchange, scientific dialogue and knowledge transfer between PhD students and tutors.

The PhD students presented their current research on innovative concepts for energy-self-sufficient buildings—from thermal energy storage and intelligent building technology to biogas and hydrogen systems.
